History of C S Ellis

Haulage has been in the Ellis family for generations:

The Company as it is known today - C S Ellis was formed in 1933 by Cecil Stanley Ellis, with the first big contract being with the local cement works Ketton Cement (now known as Castle Cement).

Since these early days 4 generations of the Ellis family have worked within the business, all of whom are pictured here for the 50th anniversary:

We have had several 'claims to fame'

Construction of the Severn bridge

Including delivery the first load of cement for the Severn Bridge

Our fleet has changed a bit over the years as you can see:

C S Ellis (Group) Ltd have today become a big player in the UK haulage, palletlised distibution and warehousing sectors.
However the core family values remain and two generations of the family still have daily involvement in the business.
