C S ELLIS - OFFICIAL TRAINING CENTRE FOR CPC TRAINING

When the CPC training requirements came out, C S Ellis decided to take the initiative and set up a training centre from our Head Office at Wireless Hill, South Luffenham.  Derek Meeney, on of our ADR trained drivers, successfully completed the RHA's CPC trainers course early last year and we have now put four 3.5 hour modules together covering Drivers' Hours, Digital Tachographs, Health and Safety in Logistics and Load Security.  Two modules will be combined to make full day courses and rolled out to all our drivers in 2010.  We will then roll out the other modules required by the legislation to ensure our drivers are fully compliant in good time before the 5 year government deadline.  The feedback from drivers having taken the initial courses has been very positive.

We will also open up our facility to other local companies who may have drivers whom also fall within the CPC requirement, giving a useful alternative to the mainstream providers.
